Golden Eagle #11 for the season came by at 2:12 PM, shortly after an afternoon push of 10 Bald Eagles. All raptors aside, the highlight for many today was the flock of 10,000+ Grackles that passed by us between 9:30-10 AM (likely the same group seen by Stefan Martin over Stamford slightly earlier).

As Bill and I patted ourselves on the back a moment after 10:00, and while I took weather measurements, he spotted another bird racing in towards the willow. It relatively low and not far away, but on a direct course SW. It had an enormous barrel chest and powerful beats from its distinct wings. Quite a profile and several minutes.
