Very easy to do, very permanent, and easy to sand to a smooth finish. No need to paint as it is a nice white.

Re: T&T: Paintg scraping

I was amazed at how easy it was to remove all the paint layers right down to the barrier coat in one stroke. It took me about a day and a half to completely strip all the old paint off and then do a light sand on the bottom. A good wash with fresh water and I was ready to repaint again.

Re: [volt-nuts] Voltage Reference Mini-Oven
Fri, Sep 16, 2011 5:23 AM
The temperature is quick and easy to set manually, in part because of the quick 30 sec TC response time of such a small oven. It is easy enough to manually set the temperature to within 0.25 deg C, which causes well under 0.01 PPM change in the zener's voltage. Too much Fun ws

9th Circuit - Heck Bar - No Kings Despite all of the hullabaloo on Saturday decrying "No Kings," apparently there is a King and he was successful in the 9th Circuit with a 2-1 victory in a case involving how Heck applies to a nolo contendere plea. Mr. King, a prisoner at the Kern Valley State Prison, assaulted a couple of guards.

Re: [time-nuts] TrueTime AL-AK GPS receiver help
Thu, Apr 30, 2015 7:54 PM
This is not at all easy you have to be time-nutty to do this. It takes reverse engineering and than almost always a mixer and local oscillator to shift the signals around. Some of the old rockwell and other gps receivers had nice IF frequencies at 35 Mhz. Easy to work with.
