Re: TWL: A Question of Paint...
Fri, Jul 12, 2002 3:51 PM
Terry, There are a few marine paint companies that make some great paints that are easy to apply and not all that expensive and come in a multitude of colors. Let us know how the fingernail paint holds up over time. Trawler on, John

Re: [time-nuts] FE5680 temperature question

It is a copper heat sink/fan and all you need is a 1/16 aluminum plate, a top cover with the fan cut out to make sure the air moves over the fins (for testing I even used tape!) and a fan controller, all this can be done for less than $ 10.

Hi All, ? Just thought I'd let you know that an article on birding Allen's Meadows in Wilton (written by me - terrible self promotion I know) and a checklist by season of species is up on the Wilton Conservation Commission website (if anyone has an species to add I'd love to know).

David, You look on the Adagio website under Techno tab you'll find several references on lightning grounding design, and link to Ewen Thomson's definitive website on Lightning and Boats. > More importantly one that has worked.

Re: [OpenSCAD] OpenCSG slowness

I normally render all differences to avoid artefacts with negative objects z-fighting and to get faster drawing. It would be easy to notice the slow down and if the CGS dump used meaningful names easy to find the unrendered difference and fix it. I don't know any other way to make large models draw at a reasonable speed.

TWL: RE: How are we doing?
Thu, Jun 27, 2002 5:41 PM
A search capability (with advanced search options) for the archives, accessible from the website, would be terrific. It used to be really easy with Google, but now the results usually turn up a huge compiled monthly .TXT file that is very cumbersome to scan. The former individually-archived way was much more convenient.
