Re: [CT Birds] Where are all the birder's
Thu, Aug 2, 2007 12:48 PM
I don't wish to belabor the issue posted, but I wanted to say again this list has served me very well in making some new friends and hearing about birding 'hot spots', issues nesting birds face, and all the different species being seen in and around CT. I definitely am a birder no matter where I go.

Re: [OpenSCAD] Z behavior of surface() with invert=true

All of these are things that you could do with an image manipulation tool.  On the other hand, few image manipulation tools let you have scripts that will do the same operations, over and over again, and these are all "easy" transformations as you're processing the data.

Re: BOSL2: anchor of rect() with rounded corners
Wed, Feb 9, 2022 4:54 PM
While certainly possible and mathematically easy, this also adds a lot of code (note that the panels in the spec are *not* centered on each other!) when all that is wanted is „position rectangle B shifted by (x, y) relative to rectangle A“. > An important question to ask is whether BOSL2 has made the right > design choices.

TWL: Re: Mast & Boom Pros & Cons

Finally, the traditional trawler mast and boom setup lets you fly the ensign from the top of the boom (gaff), which looks nice and gets the flag and flagstaff out of the way of things like lowering and raising a swim-step mounted dinghy.
