Where conduit is threaded in the field, a standard cutting die with a 1 in 16 taper (3/4 in taper per foot) shall be used. BUT, IMC (a thinner wall conduit) is tapered at 3/8"/ft (1 in 32, half the taper of standard heavy wall rigid conduit) because the wall is about half the thickness).
