Changing COA website tonight
Tue, Feb 7, 2017 9:42 PM
The new COA website is a nearly completed work and should offer all the same content as the previous while being updated more often with photos, blog posts, and so on. Be aware it takes time for various servers to figure out where the new site is for the ctbirding.org domain, and it may take hours or even a couple days for your ISP to be updated.

Re: [time-nuts] Top Posting...

>I also prefer top posting. It makes life a lot simpler. Then you should change your MUA so it puts your .sig at the top, too. Right now, you're both top _and_ bottom posting.

Top 10 Trawlers/Passagemaker by Robert Beebe
Wed, Dec 30, 1998 6:14 PM
Here is more info the leading candidate: Passagemaker, Robert Beebe's own ocean-going motorboat, exemplifies and articulates all that is good and desirable in a vessel intended for voyaging the world under power. His boat deserves to be on top of the list because Passagemaker, after all, started it all 35 years ago.

I mostly just put up whatever I was able to scrounge from various websites & archive.org before the files went missing forever. Rachel Carson also wrote of all the new chemicals coming out that weren't tested for toxicity. That number has drastically increased since. I've read that in humans the average number of man made chemicals often tops 200. ---- "wingsct@juno.com" wrote: > We thought DDT was the worst thing in the environment.

The cesium ampoule is all metal and sits upside down in the center of the "wicking" screen. The center of the burst diaphragm is welded to a post that comes out the top of the oven via an insulated feedthru. When they want to free the cesium they apply a high current thru the post and it melts a hole where the post was welded to the diaphragm.
