So web sites can be fined or closed as due to IT related laws ("cookie law" is strictly Internet related law), as due to others laws (such as copyright violation or spreading of forbidden materials, which concerns both online and offline sphere).

There is some code that allows a user application to generate content for the little integrated web server. So creating some plots on the instrument itself would be pretty easy (right now a browser connection shows you the display & LEDs and accepts virtual button pushes).

Web Assembly absolutely. In my gitlab you will find some web assembly that got as far bringing up the OpenSCAD Scintilla widget. https://gitlab.com/mixotricha/elixir-makertron My documentation is long out of date and my thinking has changed a lot. Want to solve a useful problem to do with rendering in the browser if you have not done it already.
