Parts are missing on the board to make a “proper” > 10 MHz unit. The conversion often is a bit ugly.

Rufous Hummingbird and Dickcissel

>From Kris Johnson with Denise Jernigan 1:50-2:55 10/28 Robert Dixon Yard, 179 Main Street, Sterling, female RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD seen four times from 2:15-2:55 and female DICKCISSEL and PURPLE FINCH continue at feeders in backyard behind garage. This is a beautiful birdy property with great sightings.  Worth a visit! Thank you Dixons!

Possible juvenile Goshawk near 401 & Islington

At 10:40 am whilst driving east on the 401 near Islington, I observed a possible juvenile (1st year) Goshawk being chased westward by starlings. If anybody can confirm this sighting, please drop me a note.

hummer & yard birds

10/2, Ellington, The hummer made a few visits to my feeder between 0700 and 0900 at which time  I left for a couple of hours.  From the pictures I got I'm leaning towards rufous.  Mark Szantyr was here and hopefuly he will have  some more difinitive photos. Also in back yard, RB NUTHATCH, BLUE-HEADED VIREO and PURPLE FINCH. Carl Ekroth
