Re: [time-nuts] What's the best Windows 10 ntp client?
Fri, Sep 2, 2016 5:23 PM
It runs Win-10 which helps (as would Win-8), and syncs to stratum-1 servers on my LAN. Some of those servers are Raspberry Pi cards with a low-cost GPS/PPS, running continuously - possibly another interesting project for the radio club, together with using the RPi and an RTL dongle as a receiver between 50 and 1500 MHz.

Re: OpenSCAD Crash w/ HIDAPI enabled (Windows 10)

About 2 years ago it was connected sometimes (1 of 10 OpenSCAD restarts!), then, whatever I tried, the axes never worked as expected. But now I didn't get it working at all. Also the Preferences/Axes seem to be reset every restart. I use it for Fusion360 and Prusa Slicer. But OpenSCAD - for me 3DConnection SpaceMouse never worked.

Re: building a frequency counter.. use 1PPS, ,or 10 MHz reference from GPS?
Sat, Jun 24, 2023 9:12 PM
The control loop for the 10 MHz ( or whatever frequency) output is designed to clean up that variation so that the variation in the 10 MHz is much less both short and long term. I have probably over-simplified this but that's the basic situation.
