TWL: Good Luck to All Our Northeastern Friends
Thu, Sep 18, 2003 1:55 PM
Hello All, We're sending our best wishes for all our TWL friends about to ride out Isabel. Hopefully everyone will check in with a quick report that they and their boats (yes even you sneaky sailboaters) weathered the storm OK. We're keeping all of you in our thoughts today...

Re: T&T: folding bicycles

These are mountain bikes, so the top end of the 18-speeds probably allows only 14-18 mph on the straight and level. That's plenty fast for us; speed has never been a limitation in using the bikes. The 26-inch tires vs small tires are both a comfort and safety factor.

Miss Happ Preparing to Leave St. Louis
Thu, Oct 6, 2005 9:47 PM
I must say the zoo wasn't all it's cracked up to be. No better than others I've visited. If you do the Loop, St. Louis is a great stop. A variety of restaurants, baseball, football and ice hockey available downtown, easy Metro transportation, the Arch,...and a free tour of the A. Busch brewery.

What we do have is a stove, oven, pressure cooker, canner, stove top waffle maker, bread & cake pans, cookie sheets, cast iron skillets and best of all, a coffee maker.   What really makes our meals pleasurable though are spices and herbs; lots of them and a wide variety.
