Leap second report from New Paltz, New York
Sun, Jan 1, 2006 1:53 AM
My friend who was going to visit with a video camera did not show up. The Traconex did something that I was not expecting. At 7 minutes past the hour I noticed that the seconds were not changing crisply with the seconds ticks from the radios. By 19 minutes past the hour they had retarded enough to be crisp in the new time scale.

Forum login not protected by https?
Wed, Aug 23, 2017 3:44 PM
Hi: Just noticed that the forum login page is no https! This an oversight or miss config? You can get a free ssl/tls cert from letsencrypt.org. Bad idea to have a login page unprotected!

Fun fact: I started leapsecond.com so I could post the results of a Y2K Colorado visit to NIST. If the world was going to crash I was going to be at ground zero, with a camera. [2] > > Anyway, stay safe, stay healthy, stay timely.

I think it's been quite a long time since that hack was discussed here. One discovery from the last time around is that it's faster (I think possibly a lot faster) to divide your points into triangles rather than passing one huge "face". Maybe it triangulates the face? This hack is in BOSL2 as hull_points().
