Windy 26
Fri, Sep 3, 1999 11:28 PM
Came across a Windy 26 for sale at a price that might just fit my budget. Realize it's not a MT 49 or anything but it might be a start as a one-person boat (no trans-ocean ambitions). Is there a web site where I might find more info? Any feedback on this vessel (1985 - bow thrusters-Volvo diesel-refridg for $56,900 CAD) would be appreciated.

Re: T&T: hard tops

I was concerned about adding weight up top where it causes the most problem. I wound up with two aluminum tops made from tube. You can get them to cover them with fabric or what I did which was a thin fiberglass cover that looks better than the fabric. The top is only 1/8" thick and is gel coated. This is the guy that made and installed them.

Wiki, Jira, and Website upgrades
Wed, Mar 12, 2014 2:19 PM
Over the next couple of weeks, Jesse Martinez will be updating and upgrading the CollectionSpace wiki, bug tracker (Jira), and website. These tools are all still hosted by MMI, so we'll be working to get everything backed up, off the MMI servers, onto new servers, and then updated to the most current versions.

Re: [time-nuts] M12+T module questions

Regarding the battery: > I used a 2032 coin cell battery and holder I un-soldered from an dead PC motherboard. > Even a coin cell will last its shelf life at least. According to the manual the module is designed for a rechargeable type while the lithium coin cells I'm aware of (e.g. 2032) are primary and not rechargeable.

Instead of zippers
Wed, Oct 20, 2010 3:00 PM
Both these systems die early and often. Go visit the "sailrite" web site and look at the "common sense fasteners". Figure a way to use them for your application and then forget about early failures! My Triumph sports car used both these fasteners AND snaps on the convertible top. It also had a zipper on the inside.
