[Ontbirds] Le Conte's Sparrow, Connecticut Warbler, etc. on the Toronto Islands
Tue, May 23, 2006 10:53 PM
I found the Le Conte's at 3:10 pm on Hanlans Point along the east side of the airfield fence about 500 yards or 450m from the ferry near some ornamental (Austrian) Pine Trees. This is the same area that I found the Chat 10 days ago. It was in the grassy area but each time I approached it, it would fly into the base of one of the Pine Trees.

[Ontbirds] Toronto Islands Migration Report - Flycatchers, Warblers, etc.

If arriving in early am you must obtain your ticket from a machine just inside the gate so be sure to have $1.00 and $2.00 and/or 25 cent coins before you arrive at the docks as there is no place to get change and the machine does not make change. (There is a change machine (up to a $10 bill) there if you want to chance it).
