A bird that gets aspergillosis or is exposed to aflatoxin (produced by aspergillus) may get very sick or die. Most common effects are liver disorders (including cancer), blood disorders, and suppression of the immune system. A post-mortem study of yard birds in Britain showed high levels of aflatoxin in some birds.

They have caused huge die-offs of honeybees in Europe and provoked an uproar among scientists, not least because the studies that purported to establish their safety were financed by pesticide manufacturers.

"At least it won't die in agony from another attack, or be consumed alive by insects," they said. Very nice folks, interesting place. I was prepared to make a donation, but nobody asked me, and they were very very busy, so I didn't get a chance to offer. I am a cat lover, but my cats STAY INDOORS.

Quaker Ridge 10/23: 52 Raptors inc 10 Harriers. Great hawkwatching forecast for tomorrow
Thu, Oct 23, 2014 11:41 PM
With the winds expected to die down to a slightly more stable 10-20 mph out of the NW tomorrow, we're in for a stellar day of hawkwatching. No matter where you are in CT tomorrow, it'd be well worth it to spend some time at Quaker Ridge, Lighthouse Point, Boothe Park or even your own backyard looking up for hawks cos the river's about to flood again.

And, what will happen to these birds when winter weather finally arrives - will they migrate southward...or will they perhaps die here due to lack of food? What do CT birders think? Jay Kaplan Canton

Qualified Immunity - tasers - eggshell skull rule

City policy discussed dealing with the obese and using caution because people who are obese can die if struggling are held prone and handcuffed behind their backs. Long story short - no immunity and city held in. The job of a police officer becomes more difficult everyday. http://www.ca5.uscourts.gov/opinions/pub/16/16-11244-CV0.pdf Charles W.

If they can not support their claims why do we fear their threat of law suit. If it does what they say, prove it with competent data and we will go away and/or support their product. If it does not, screw em. But, do not be afraid to challenge their bogus claims which are/can not be supported by competent data.
