Support our Troops Xerox doing something nice

member of the armed services. How AMAZING it would be if we could get everyone we know to send one!!! Wouldn't it be wonderful if the soldiers received a bunch of these? Whether you are for or against the war, our guys and gals over there need to know we are behind them... urse! I did mention the basic cost in the initial appeal a few days ago. About two grand a year for the list server, or $1,890 to be precise, for T&T and its sister lists. I did also say I would provide a monthly report on fund-raising. The volunteer operation is headed by Listmaster Bob McLaren. A list of all volunteers appears at the conclusion of the rules page: http://www.trawlersandtrawlering.com/forums/listrules.html The hours the volunteers put in over the course of the year are priceless. Yes, there are other ways to operate a forum like ours. Your admin teram has investigated several options, and has been testing Google Groups, but the simplicity of an email list that is readily and widely accessible is hard to beat. --Georgs -- Georgs Kolesnikovs Your host at Trawlers & Trawlering, formerly Trawler World, since 1997 Site see:

Public support of chart revisions. was --> RE: Magenta line?
Sun, Sep 29, 2013 9:07 PM
oat's location, water depth, and time . . . . ============================================== Actually, there is already a mechanism for doing this. CO-OP Charting (and it has been in place for many many years now). http://www.nauticalcharts.noaa.gov/mcd/uspscoop/index.htm It cannot handle weekly updates, but there are methods for surveying and submitting revised depths (along with ATONs, Coastal Pilot updates, and almost any other feature on a chart) in a controlled / reviewed way. Depths are not often done, due to the equipment, but there is a process already in place. Contact your local United States Power Squadron and ask for the 'CO-OP' charting guy... http://www.usps.org/national/coch/ -al- Viking Star 45' Monk Sr. / McQueen mvVikingStar.blogspot.com

Re: [USRP-users] can N200 or N210 support realtime 802.11

mean, even with the Gigabit > Ethernet port, the MAC delay is hardly to satisfy? Unfortuntely, yes. In terms of host<->RF front end delay, the USRP2 is not really an improvement over the USRP1. The E100 should perform better but the GPP performance is very bad. Exploiting the DSP and/or FPGA and/or the vector extensions of the ARM could help here. But I am not aware of any actual implementation though. Anybody else? Regards, Andre
