Chester, 10/22: pheasant at feeders, other October highlights

Chester, 10/22 - Hen PHEASANT under our feeders this evening. Most likely a released game bird. Other late-October highlights have included: 5 PURPLE FINCHES, a pair of RAVENS, massive fallout of RUBY-CROWNED KINGLETS, and various hawks (one SHARPIE, one RED-SHOULDERED, and a pair of RED-TAILS). - Tammy Eustis, Chester

The bird was again seen yesterday south of green mountain road at the first culvert on 10 th road east. It is being seen at a great distance with poor weather conditions. My apologies for the error on location Cheryl Sent from my iPhone

Hi All, I'm looking for approximately 10 of the Jupiter GPS modules for a personal timing project; I time automotive speed events. Pat, the USRP expects the PPS to stay consistent with respect to the 10 MHz signal. Electrically speaking, what the PPS does is tag one specific up-flank of the 10 MHz signal as beginning-of-second flank.

As is usual at this busy time, there were no reports from visiting birders this week. The Visitor Centre (km 43) will be open daily on December 27 to 30, from 10 am to 4 pm. The following summary outlines observations made during the last week for birds often sought by visiting birders here.
