But one time when I was out cruising forign ports, I filled up with unclorinated water. After a while my tank harbored a grusom groth. Opened the inspection ports. Hand cleaned the tank. Rinsed. Refilled the tank with clorinated water. Now I always use clorinated water and have had no more problems. > Nick

Studio Assistant needed
Fri, May 15, 2015 11:36 PM
You've probably noticed I haven't sent a Hot Tips Newsletter in ages. I've been super busy and have been teaching classes and doing consulting for other organizations. However, if you have a group, guild, class or even a few friends who are interested in learning about any aspect of selling crafts and would like to host a class, I would love to put one together for you. I am also, as always, available for consultation. I will still send a newsletter from time to time, just not on a monthly basis. In there meanwhile, here's a hot tip for Seattle area folks! Transit Great Lakes Starting Oct 10
Tue, Sep 20, 2011 8:11 PM
The captain wants to leave Oct 10. which I think is nuts. I have discussed the main issues but having never done this route...all my deliveries have been Erie / outside East Coast runs...I don't have an appreciation for weather on Huron and Michigan in mid/late Oct. BTW, the captain has never done this route either. Any suggestions, warnings.

The DC resistance of the motor windings is roughly 200 ohms. I estimate the power draw is < 2 watts. Haven't measured the inductance.

Wes, N7WS ================================== Wes, Yes, the second frequency does depend on the first, and this is noted in the review: http://www.force12inc.com/content/Bodnar%20GPSDO%20QST%20review.pdf You can easily have both outputs at the same frequency (e.g. 10 MHz), though. Thanks for the pointer to the datasheet.

Re: [time-nuts] An easy to generate 5, 1 MHz from 10 MHz
Tue, Jul 28, 2009 7:56 PM
It might work for generating the 1 MHz, but I think you would still need hardware for the 10 MHZ to 5 MHz division. For your task, it may be easier to do it all in hardware as mentioned above.
