Re: [time-nuts] Software defined spectrum analyzer

Essentially a programmable receiver like the Icom PCR1000, but with better bandwidth, running into a pair of 192kHz ADCs, for which easy USB interfacing is available. The question is really what does the 4GHz LO in the front look like? It's almost certainly some sort of VCO PLL scheme, probably with multiple VCOs. But, do they use a DDS?

All of them please... though if you just have time for a partial, the galley/dinette and those facing aft would give me a place to start. THANK YOU with gratitude. J&F, prepping the spare house for sale to finance "the" boat aka a Nordic26.

All the accipiters appeared to be big females. Total count was 90. Birds were high and far, and great cloud cover saved the day. Thanks to Marty Moore for helping to find the dots. Still lots of Tree Swallows and only a smattering of other birds. Don Morgan Coventry

For all one knows, that pipe might wind up filled with a plasma of vaporized coax. I'd just consider the antenna and feedline sacrificial, and worry about dealing with the transient at the point of entry to the building, assuming that the coax is carrying all of it.

This allows us to complete welding, sand blasting and painting of the hull and deck (inside and out) with the top off for easy insertion and removal of machinery and joinery.

The dipstick is at the top, has easy access, either side. Breather traps oil and feeds into the air intake. The trap prevents engine runaway. All except the oil filter have excellent access. All 3 starter bolts are easily accessible. There is no Turbo and the engine is rated Tier II.

Re: [time-nuts] NTP stratum 0

This is the time-nuts mailing list after all. It's pretty easy to see a 1 ms offset if you have a good local clock (a place to stand) and reasonable network connectivity to the clock you want to check. Setup ntpd to use the remote system as a server. Turn on logging. Wait a while, say a day.
