Around UConn 4/26 & 4/27...

In the course of walking between cars and buildings yesterday and this morning I saw the following birds of note; 4/26 Eastern Kingbirds 3 along Horsebarn Hill road below the Softball field (WB Young Building) Gray Catbird in brush next to the softball field 4/27 along North Hillside Road near the tennis courts Eastern Towhees 3 males chasing each

Most of the bad press that FC boats get is due to the amateur construction of so many of them. Backyard boats. But professionally designed and built FC hulls will outlive their buyers, and require very little maintenance.

Migration 9/25-9/26

Today 9/26 out riding around with mom looking for Apple's on the sides of the road. Heard a wood thrush... Home I'm pretty sure I have a few yellow rumps. Thought I heard white throated sparrow, and also had one great blue heron fly over home Friday.
