A friend has suggested that I upgrade to 7.0. What would I gain by upgrading versus checking out other navigation programs. I recall that one member a few weeks ago mentioned free charts from NOAA. Will Nobeltec read those charts? I don't mind making an additional investment, but I would like to get the most bang for the buck! Thanks for any advice.

You may not be aware, but the system is designed to use a DDS to offset the frequency of a free running 10 MHz source to make it accurate based on GPS timing ... so the Rb is not disciplined with its C field or similar - it is free running.
