Re: [time-nuts] What's the best way to double 10 MHz to 20 MHz ?
Wed, May 25, 2011 11:24 AM
If one was to make a 20 MHz reference, what's the best way to get a 20 MHz sine wave (at least 0 dBm) from a 10 MHz TCXO or OCXO? The 10 MHz devices seem much more popular than 20 MHz ones, so I can probably pick a higher spec 10 MHz device more easily. Dave -- A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.

Kingston RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD Update Dec. 14, '03
Sun, Dec 14, 2003 9:25 PM
The RUFOUS HUMMINGBIRD was seen at the feeder this morning around 8:40 and it fed briefly about 5 to 10 seconds. It flew off up into the big Cedar west of the feeder. Dr. Yendt had filled the feeder and the heat lamp was keeping the syrup from freezing despite the -10°C temperature and the raw east wind.

Re: [time-nuts] What's the best Windows 10 ntp client?
Fri, Sep 2, 2016 7:47 AM
A Windows 10 PC is only powered up while we are there, so on around 2-4 hours per week. Does anyone have any thoughts on what might be the most suitable software to run on our Windows 10 PC to set the time correct?

Re: [time-nuts] 10 MHz OCXO recommendations

Everything running on 3.3V, total current may be below 10 ma. Far fewer parts involved. A lot depends on just how that spec gets interpreted. Surplus OCXO’s are well … surplus. A significant percentage of the OCXO’s I’ve seen on the surplus marked are pulls off boards and are busted.
