Anyway after quite a few visits from my rowdy Monk Parakeet friends and assorted Grackles the star attraction came to visit. 10:15 -10:25, 12:10-12:20, 2:30, 3:30, 3:45, 4:40, 4:55, 5:05, 5:10, 5:55 and 6:00. So all in all a good day. Although his afternoons seem to be more active.

10 GREAT BLUE HERONS in heronry north of Pickering

Fellow Birders, This weekend 10 GREAT BLUE HERONS arrived in their nesting places in the heronry on Taunton Rd. west of Altona Rd. The dead one is still dangling from one of the nests and has been hanging there for the entire winter. The arrival according to a local resident is later this year compared to March 7, 2002 and February 28, 2001.
