Re: [time-nuts] What is the best way to multiply a 10 Mhz

The netlist is as follows: 10 MHz to pin 1 of inductor Pin 2 of inductor to pin 1 of capacitor Pin 2 of capacitor to pin 1 of ASK-1 Pin 3 of ASK-1 to Pin 4 of ASK-1 Pins 6 of ASK-1 to ground The X2 output comes from pins 4 and 5 (the "IF").

Re: [time-nuts] 10 MHz -> 16 MHz clock multiplier
Wed, Jan 2, 2013 8:20 PM
The on-board VCXO range is 80 to 230 MHz, so I'd multiply the 10 MHz up to 160 MHz and then divide by 10. I like to throw one in a circuit and know that I can generate whatever clocks I need in software. They're also pin-compatible, so if you lay down a pad for a part larger than needed, you have spare outputs in case you need them for something.

Dear Zhihong, I have successfully set up a MacBook + X300 connected via 10 GbE. I used this product: http://www.sonnettech.com/product/echoexpresssel_10gbeadapter.html to adapt Thunderbolt to 10 GbE. It worked out-of-the-box. The only (major!)

Re: [time-nuts] Rubidium Performance: DDS noise effect on 10 MHz
Sat, Feb 4, 2012 5:32 AM
As I understand it, DDS phase noise should be divided by a factor of 6*114 by the time it appears at the 10 MHz output, and at larger frequency offsets the amplitude should also be (significantly) reduced by the PLL loop filter.

Re: [time-nuts] 10 MHz Band-Pass Filter Needed (Roberto Barrios)

On your very first visit here, you have hit the Bruce Effect. Do not be alarmed! Just place your filter in a temperature controlled oven regulated to a change of 1E-99C for external temp changes of -100C to +200C and you may be alright, I did say "may". But then, for ham purposes, the phase/frequency changes should make no difference to you.
