Re: [time-nuts] GPSDO with all-digital phase/time measurement?

Toolkit: I have a handful of the 26-MHz Pletronics ebay OCXOs. The spec sheet says +/- 0.5 ppb over 30 seconds short-term stability. I will try to use a GPS module enabling SW sawtooth correction, an NV08C if I could get it. MCU of choice is STM32 (ARM Cortex-M4).

9/26 storm coastal birding: golden plovers, Forster's terns, skimmer
Fri, Sep 26, 2008 7:52 PM
I had the day off today 9/26, so birded the Stratford coast in hopes of finding some storm-related birds. No luck but here is a summary of the highlights. Overcast, 61-65 degrees F, ENE winds @ 20mph, steady rain, till a lull at 12:15 -1:30; visibility decent (2-8 miles); high tide 9:15am.

5, 000 warblers 26 species Bluff Point Groton: Prothonotary and Connecticut
Sun, Sep 16, 2012 4:02 PM
A group of us tallied 26 Warbler Species in a flight of approximately 5,000 warblers. The most interesting were a Prothonotary Warbler and 2 Connecticut Warblers. Nick Bonomo and Julian Hough positioned themselves for an attempt to photograph in-flight birds and managed to photograph both of the Connecticut Warblers as they flew out.

Sunday Racing Results, July 24th
Mon, Jul 24, 2017 10:40 PM
To All, We dodged another bullet Sunday when the forecasted rain never materialized. Instead, we had a good but sometimes shifty breeze from the southeast at 8 - 10 mph. Four boats raced, including George Penny's Petite Bijou, and we got in two solid races. Unlike Wednesday evenings, the air doesn't start to die half way into a race!

Pelican
Mon, Nov 14, 2011 10:28 PM
While I have not personally seen the Pelican, I have been reading all the recent reports and I subscribe to the view that there is probably one bird that has moved down the sound from an instinctive need to go South. From the Rye area it is in a bottle neck with only a narrow waterway, the East River, to continue its journey.
