Ralph Yost said: "I think the approach to law and its enforcement in Florida makes more sense.....If the marine police board your boat, they test the waste system with die markers and determine if your waste system is in position to pump overboard. If so, you get a noticeable fine. There is no mechanical disassembly of the waste system required !"

Greg's true comments of survival.
Thu, Feb 14, 2008 2:11 PM
So true your comments Greg on annual die offs of birds through natural occurrences such as the one I have mentioned for the Redpolls, and your unbelievable examples of the Longspurs. Life for any wild creature is always at risk, and for any species to avoid occasional catastrophic reductions in numbers is most unusual.

white-winged scoter, bald eages - detroit river / windso
Fri, Feb 21, 2003 2:16 AM
and the temperature change had caused them all to die....very strange sight though. the river was covered in them, packed side by side all the way across (30 feet) and about 60 feet down the length of the river. but odly enough, there were still plenty of live ones beneath the dead ones, and they could be seen through the open patches of water.
