Interior Lighting

I understand that some of the newer models are better in this regard and that some meet some sort of mil spec for noise. I know that there are more advanced bulbs, such as krypton and halogen, that produce much more light. I have flashlights that use these and they sure do work.

They basically said use MIL SPEC 2104F (I think that's the number). But these are older designs and may differ from the latest four cycle designs and perhaps newer metal alloys. And of course I may have missed special requirements for rebuilt engines.

Re: T&T: ideas on how to protect flat varnished surfaces getting lots of use

I have looked at a variety of of 20 or 30 mil flexible plastics that can be cut with scissors (like really thick saran wrap) and it isn't slippery but wonder if it will react with the varnished surface. Anyhow, I am sure you get the idea and if anyone has the solution that is the cat's ass let me know.

If you need more than a couple of one type, pick a standard and an extended temperature range model, and perhaps a mil spec one too. Or order some more the next day. I don't think you can get evaluation boards for nothing, but I have not actually tried.

being 1E-24 cm^2 or a shake being 1E-8, both being from early nuclear weapons development, and essentially a rounded value for some useful size: cross-section for a nuclear reaction, and generation time for fission, respectively) (I understand from some casual googling that the gnat's ass is used by machinists to refer to a tenthousandth of an inch/tenth of a mil

Re: [time-nuts] RFX GPSDO - Anybody played with one of these?

Raj, JLT just sent out a press release some days ago on the LC_XO sub 1 inch square GPSDO that is smaller and higher performance than the RFX unit, runs from only 3.3V, and it can be soldered into a 100 mil standard breadboard, and consumes only about 0.5W (RFX unit is probably >> 1W).

I thought that maybe .mil was under a DOS attack. Thanks for the second source. > > Le 9 juil. 2014 à 14:30, Brian Inglis a écrit : > >> On 2014-07-09 01:30, mike cook wrote: >>> times out. Can I get it from anywhere else?

(-TC) and Balco (+TC) and fixed resistors so that the gain stays constant over mil temperature ranges.
