TWL: All Chain Worth it?

Is it worth carrying all that weight of chain or would I be better off with rope? We do all our boating in Southern California with a usually pacific Pacific ocean and anchor only if there is no mooring available.

[Ontbirds] Minesing Wetlands, 3 Snowy Owls

I had 3 Snowy Owls in the Strongville Road area this afternoon, 1 sitting on top of a silo on the southern end of Strongville Rd, another on a hydro   pole on Concession Rd 9 Sunnidale between Centre Line Rd & Sideroad 3 & 4 Sunnidale, and the last on a house tv aerial near the   Sunnidale Corners intersection @ Highway 26 & Sunnidale Rd.
