I'm about to post a set of kernel modules and new kernel on the ettus website. Before I do so, would someone like to do a quick test of them for me?

And the HF and LF transmitters involved should be pretty self protecting too... maybe their power supply would be the weak point as the grid collapsed but this is a problem that can be cheaply handled with well known and proved diesel generator technology. -- Dave Emery N1PRE/AE, die@dieconsulting.com DIE Consulting, Weston, Mass 02493 "An empty zombie

10/2 vs 2/2 redux

Sure, a 2-micron filter will filter out the big crud, but unless the filter is very large, it will load-up and clog, placing a burden on the engine (their concern) and potentially cause the engine to starve/die mid-ocean (my concern).

The 5262A doesn't support averaging either, so it or the 5263A (same case I think) will only offer resolution of 100ns. The 5345A will offer 2ns single shot time interval resolution and can average over 1000 intervals giving 2ps resolution. The ideal is the 5370A/B which has a single shot TI resolution of 20ps.
