Personally I find syntax highlighting with 10 different colours confusing. Comments is enough, italics can do that. (Those who have synesthesia or chromesthesia, get significantly uncomfortable with "wrong" colours. Not me, fortunatly) Thinking about past terminals (back when ASCII was all you could display on the 80 × 24 terminal) they were all green on black. Ah, well. All in all, I can not get exited about dark mode. fre. 8. maj 2026, 11.21 skrev Roger Whiteley via Discuss < discuss@lists.openscad.org>: > The first thing I turn off is Dark Mode, the modern trend for UI's that > don't highlight URL's properly, allow sites to force browsers into > changing their entire colour scheme is both irritating and bad UI practice. > > Its like looking for a black cat in a coal hole. > > I have defective eyesight, not just age related long-sightedness, I find > Dark Mode [in general] horrible to use, FWIW I find Cornfield soothing > on the eyes and its easy to pick out an object I've prefixed with a #. > > > > just my two pennorth. > > Roger. > _______________________________________________ > OpenSCAD mailing list > To unsubscribe send an email to discuss-leave@lists.openscad.org
