TWL: to George & All
Fri, Feb 4, 2000 2:44 AM
All went well and we are ready to leave on our journey Saturday 1/5/00. We will be doing email off the cell phone and on landlines when possible. It will be difficult to keep up with all the Trawler network. George, I left my Trawlerworld instructions back home. Please take me off the mail list for a while. Thank you.

B210 with two 8 bit streams, output is all 0's
Mon, Jul 25, 2016 4:21 PM
All I get is hard zeros, yet with the exact same hardware setup and signal, but using 16 bits, I get data. I can verify the correct green leds come on, so it is not the subdev spec or number of channels, I dont think. I have tried all sorts of stuff, including loading the latest (as of friday) code from git.

Re: [Talk] Changing the Find & Edit, All Record Types, summary field

It will be easy to add/remove/relabel/reorder the columns displayed in the search results for each record type. Look for a blog post about this in the new year.

Re: [WEB SECURITY] XSS cheat sheet for developers

However, the OWASP document is first of all promoting ESAPI when we are sorta promoting our lib. We are also talking about HTML contexts at a more fine grain level and it's difficult to put this in OWASP framework. The OWASP cheat sheet format doesn't also play well with what we wanted to do.

Long life products, obsolete components, and code 4 parts. RE: HP Cesium Standards in the International Atomic Time Scale, the legend of Felix Lazarus, and the "top cover
Sat, Dec 29, 2018 4:36 AM
The response from component buyers was easy to predict: “But VendorX wants $2.31 for this ancient transistor. We’re not tying up $10K in one part. We have dozens of parts like this, we can’t afford all this inventory.” So we would try harder. Maybe a 2N222A, or a 2N3904 will work. Procurements loves these parts.

TWL: Propeller query
Fri, Jun 9, 2000 2:42 PM
Sounds like an excuse to me, especially as their website suggests variable pitch distribution is standard on all their performance propellers. Can anyone please enlighten me as to what variable pitch distribution is, and whether it has to be custom to each vessel, and whether it could really make a difference equivalent to removing 1.5" of pitch?

Arctic Loon at St. Joseph's Island (Algoma) - Dec 26 and 28
Thu, Dec 30, 2021 2:42 AM
Joseph's Island on December 26 and 28. Unfortunately the bird was not identified until yesterday (photographed by someone else on the 26th, Kirk suspected that's what it was but wanted to be sure) but disappeared out into the main channel pretty quickly after he refound it and has not been seen since. The area where it was seen has since iced over.
