[Ontbirds]Long Point, Port Dover - Waterfowl including swans
Sun, Mar 23, 2008 1:50 AM
Just to top it all off, nine wild turkeys on Hwy. 5 immediately east of St. George, pecking in a frenzy at patches of exposed grass. Don't spread this location around, or those turkeys will be on someone's plate for dinner in no time! Happy Easter to those who celebrate the holiday. For everyone else, Happy Long Weekend.

This year the 9th Annual Festival takes place MAY 26 TO JUNE 4. There are over 80 events and over 40 top notch leaders. The migration corridor along the shore of Lake Huron known as "The Huron Fringe", extending from Kincardine to Tobermory on the Bruce Peninsula is the area we cover.

TWL: Nav lights, all lit up
Wed, Apr 25, 2001 11:47 AM
My first thought on reading about the idea of being all lit up at night was of the USS JOHN F KENNEDY/USS BELKNAP collision some years ago. It was a calm night in the Mediterranean, and the cruiser BELKNAP (off the port bow of the carrier) was given a change of station order.

I have seen some RTC’s that won’t last a month on a coin cell. My recollection is that the Oncore backup is closer to that category than the “many years on a cap” group.
