Re: [USRP-users] Firmware images for X310-RFNOC?

Changing the frequency (e.g. via a QT > range slider) regularly causes the command link from PC to USRP to > die. Samples from USRP to PC keep flowing, that part is quite stable. This may be related to a known issue that is being worked on.

Must be a high volume bare die house somewhere that is doing this. Our concept might well benefit from COB due to our volumes (>10,000, perhaps millions). -- Mike Ciholas (812) 476-2721 x101 CIHOLAS Enterprises (812) 476-2881 fax 255 S.

Only two defining forces have ever offered to die for you, Jesus Christ and the American G.I. Measuring startup chirp
Mon, May 5, 2008 3:07 AM
Hence we need to check their measurements on the finished product, which is a small ceramic TCXO, where we have bonded-out die and the correct crystals. There are no capacitors, except for the compensation system provided on the silicon. To make matters worse, we have to look at this problem throughout the operating temperature range, -40 to +85 deg C.

Trimble Thunderbolt - Receive Sensistivity

(fundamental laws of the universe: 1) You can't get something for nothing, 2) You can't break even, 3) You'll die trying) Ideally, you want the amplifier at the antenna and you want the amplification to match the cable loss and no more. Generally GPS receivers with poor sensitivity have poorly designed front ends or signal processing.

Re: [time-nuts] hp 7563A Log Voltmeter Service Info Request

With age the neon bulbs die. What did on a voltmeter that suffered the same issue was use a modern chopping opamp. Yup to a bit of doing. Other crazy thought would be to hack into the unit and see if the bulbs might be replaced. Though hp used some smaller then normal ne2 neons. Just a thought Paul On Sun, Oct 31, 2010 at 10:17 PM, J.

If necessary, they can package from die that they have in stock, or even reverse engineer old designs. Of course, that's very pricey, but if you're a government and need to maintain some 20 year old piece of critical equipment, they may be one of the few avenues to getting something working again.

Re: [time-nuts] Space mission comes to an end becuase of a "computer time tagging" problem

If it gets cold enough (without power from solar cells, it won't generate enough internal heat to keep warm), it will die. That's probably what happened to Spirit on Mars. It got cold enough during the Martian winter, and with not enough solar power, enough things drifted cold enough that we couldn't get commands in.

Re: [time-nuts] KS-24361 10 Mhz mod interesting document -> older KS boxes

Bob Absolutely lots of ways to die. Such as bad caps, bad variable cap, resistors that are cooked..... I am pretty good with all of those and have experienced most of them. But then comes the point of the dirty bulb and it doesn't have to be the blob. Though you will find the blob most likely with the dirty bulb.
