Did the owner/driver of "PayDay" die or become unable to reproduce?? Those are the Darwin criteria for nomination???? I am sure many of us wonder how many go fast guys eligible for nominated each year.

The nice thing about the REF102 is that it's relatively easy to use, and averaging several chips is easy. But as I understand from previous replies, maybe it wouldn't match the long-term stability of an LM399. Obviously Josephson junction technology is out of the picture, since cost and practical feasibility are in the top of the requirements list.

It's all esthetics. The smaller radar looks better placed on top. Although it is possible that maintenance on the rotating array is easier if the radar is lower. Larry Z
