Over the top if you have one project with three parts but I use it for all my projects and some have thousands of parts. See https://github.com/nophead/NopSCADlib. It is aimed at projects where all the parts are modelled, not just the printable STLs. Any parts that make STLs are made with a module with _stl suffix to its name.

Re: [OpenSCAD] Removing all surfaces in the X-Y Plane

You could then edit that polygon to remove all the faces where all points are on the same Z height (IE they are flat on the XY plane). Not sure if it will produce an error if you try to render the STL as it will certainly be non-manifold, but if it works it's highly reproducible... Took a close look at the package for a new one, and they are rated for only 2000 hours - which is easy to use up in a year in a room where the lights are on 6 hours every evening. Now, using CFLs of any type reduces electricity use compared to incandescent, and that's worthwhile in many applications.

Dennis Varza's good point about all of the transAtlantic visitors which we get... "The European Vagrants are another matter. The prevailing winds are west to east so Europe get more American birds then we get theirs.

However, just because it is listed at this width doesn't mean it is easy to tow. I had a 25' center console Sea Cat. Bought it used from a fisherman in Dallas. Minimal boat with console. and tee top.

So I pass that on to the person that started all this by asking about trawler features and selection. On the other hand, I have nice looking safety tread panels that sit in top of my stringers (and a long gray water tank under the center) that force me to squat. VERY uncomfortable, even with the two sets of knee pads I now have.
