TWL: Re: fuel vents
Sat, Feb 1, 2003 3:47 PM
The access to the top of the fuel tanks are easy on our boat as I just have to lift the seat lid on the settee (starboard tank) and remove one chair over the sole hatch (port tank). Of course this may not be conveinient in other boat styles. For many years our vents were suitable when marina fuel pumps did not refill at fast speeds.

It won't be all that easy of a process, having to take a wrench to the various decks, and remove cabinetry and a bar top. But it will be doable, and by one person! ___________________________ Doug Barnard rebuilding a 20' Skipjack "Fiesta Bimbo" trawler-crawler wannabe

The logic is all DTL on several large PCBs that are stacked on top of each other. The DTL DIP chips are surface mounted with their leads bent out from the body and soldered onto traces on top of the boards so replacing them with socketed TTL is easy.

I just talked to these folks: http://www.sealconusa.com/strainrelief/adapter_ny/af_2516_bk.html They sell adapters of all kinds. The designation for conduit (electrical, w/o taper) threads (= 3/4" NPT) is PG-21. As I posted earlier, the tapered threads are used for plumbing, the straight threads are used for rigid electrical conduit.
