[Ontbirds]Red-necked Grebes, Bronte Creek Oakville
Thu, May 10, 2007 12:29 AM
Bronte marina is easy to find, and the grebes are back again! We were here viewing and photographing, and I was witness to a cool "event" of mating attempt. Hope you enjoy this small series on my website....

TWL: Whaler mounted with engine
Tue, Apr 24, 2001 1:52 AM
By that time we have made the run and are all buttoned up. I've found the tools of the trade have to be handy and easy to use otherwise they stay in the tool box. The motor always stays on the Whaler. Check this site for dingy Pics. http://home.earthlink.net/~yourcaptain/pics.html .

I tried again and it came apart easily. There is an O-ring but no glue.

Re: [time-nuts] Did my Tbolt die ?

I have never been able to confidently cope with this problem, I just keep hacking the system and sooner or later I get the COM port right with the right settings and all is well. There seem to be up to 3 layers to get right.

Foaming a tank
Thu, Oct 27, 2005 8:50 PM
Given the contours of a typical bow, the bottom of the tank is a smaller footprint than the top of the tank, as I took advantage of the hull flairing out as it rises, to make this holding tank larger (50-60gals!) So, its quite easy to secure the fore and aft sections of the tank as well as 2 aluminum rails on top of the tank to keep it secured down.

Grabbing a Mooring from a Trawler

If, as in this area, the bulk of the buoy line is actually line with only the top ten or twelve feet being chain, it can be very easy to suck the slack buoy line into a prop or get it around a rudder, particularly with a twin engine boat.
