As far as the donuts ability to absorb toxicity from the system, I think this is well documented by the number of policemen that die of chemical poisoning. Don

RE: TWL: NiCad batteries?
Sat, Dec 1, 2001 6:59 PM
The only beauty of a NiCad is that it will give up to 95% of it's > capacity at the rated voltage and then it will die. > > The only purpose for Nicads in aviation is their ability to start jet > engines. Is it not also the case tha nicads have a superior energy/weight ratio and thus they save weight? Hal

westerbeke generators
Sat, Nov 13, 2010 5:50 PM
I have a Westerbeke 8kw generator that will start, but as soon as I release the preheat switch the engine will die. Starts and runs fine, and as long as the preheat switch is held it runs. The solenoid releases when the preheat switch is released. Any ideas what to trouble shoot?

I suppose it wouldnt be such a leap to work in 8 bit samples at the same time. What did everybody mean by 4 bits per sample? 1 byte per complex sample (4-I, 4-Q)?

Re: [CT Birds] Where Have They Gone?

Could there be a major die-off that happened, or was it truly a poor breeding season considering all the rain? I guess we should stock up on feeder food to support those who survived to try to keep them healthy through the lean winter months.

The problem with electronics is that you never know when a bug will crop up; everything may work perfectly in every square inch of Seattle but die in Pendrel Sound for obscure reasons. I am a programmer and don't trust any programmer as far as I can throw them (which is why I am sensitive to bugs; support either loves or hates me). 3) Corrosion.
