Re: [CT Birds] Let's Look for that HAWK OWL!

I don't know about Meredith or Kathy, but the one Hawk Owl I did see is easily in my top 5 favorites ever seen, so I'm going to do all I can to try to find another one here in CT, and who knows what else is hiding in northeastern CT. -Tim Antanaitis --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo!

Top 5 boats

It is essentail that she shares in all of the decisions in boat buying and plans. I was fortunate that Marie owned her own boat when we met, and she worked beside me in boat building, then lots of on the job training as we cruised, so that she could do all of the boat jobs as well, or often better than I.

Internal phone speaker issue on Windows Mobile device
Thu, Sep 18, 2008 4:19 PM
I have installed pjsua_wince on different Windows Mobile 6.x devices and and it works fine. The new EC is basically better as the previous version. But i allready have the problem that the client still uses the external loudspeaker of the device ( as handsfree profile) The bulit-in voip client of M$ does the same.

In any event, I highly discourage use of the much shorter (7 miles) Northwest Channel unless you transit at high tide, have protected prop(s), and well less than four feet of draft (look at Active Captain for all the warnings). If weather allows, the best bet is to anchor overnight off Sea Horse Key.

Least little breeze/motion and they flop all over the place! Even horizontal ones should be attatchable to both bottom and top. Marge Griffith Boatless on Mobile Bay

Miss Happ Preparing to Leave Mobile Bay
Tue, Dec 13, 2005 3:15 PM
Gary, on a 26' sailboat, left Mobile an hour or so before us last week. He's now over on Dog River having some work done on Andale before moving on. When he entered the Dog River channel, he ran aground and was stuck in the mud for 12 hours! He said that a couple of boats offered to pull him off, but for at least $500. He waited for the rising tide.
