While there are probably a number of use cases where external programs using OpenSCAD as backend make very much sense, it's still a bit sad to see all those projects started with huge enthusiasm die after half a year or so when it gets hard to continue supporting users. ciao, Torsten.

Hi all, Quick follow-up: I contacted Maxim to see if the chips were authentic, and their very pleasant customer support people verified that the markings and appearance of the chip are consistent with their records for that year and lot number. That's a good thing.

A forum thread has started looking to support your devices, however comments say: "The best way would be to use the API of 3Dconnexion. But the license of the API is prohibitive for Free- / Open Source Software." So they are looking to support it via HID.

This package is based on the Asterisk fork with the support for dynamic library. Anything elase would not be acceptable for a major distribution. I hope to see this code merged soon. https://github.com/asterisk/pjproject BTW: that branch sadly fails o build at the moment without video support.
