Hi Jared,

Could you confirm you system specifications (just for reference)? I see you
are using HP Z620. I assume this is Intel Xeon processor? How about
processor speed, RAM, etc?

Maybe you are already, but could you try a tool to set the CPU to maximum
performance. I like to use ' indicator-cpufreq ' in Ubuntu, it should give
you a dropdown to select maximum CPU speed.
