[USRP-users] Change gain while running

I did some more simple tests transmitting a signal with a spectrum analyzer connected to the tx antenna port. It seems that when setting the gain value below 8, no change can be observed on the output signal. But it works just fine with all gain values above 8!

I have a small question: Is it possible to set (change) the gain value while running (streaming samples to/from) the USRP?
Simply using the set_gain in a gnuradio application while running doesn't work, but is there some other way to do this without stop streaming? I currently have an USRP2 with WBX, but could possibly use some other USRP-version and/or daughtercard.

set_gain() should work just fine while running. What problem are you running in to?
