[USRP-users] Curious About Phase Noise of N210

I measued base-band to base-band of two USRP2. This could be done also for N210. You will get twice the phase-noise (or the phase-noises convolved possibly .... need to do the math) but no additional equipment needed.

If you're interested in phase noise performance of N210 at baseband, it might be worth reading the AD9510 datasheet, as well as the datasheet for the Crystek CVHD-950 VCXO used in N210. N210 is optimized for very low phase noise, and the phase noise of N210 at baseband will be difficult to measure without very high-quality test equipment.

Thanks. Yea, I would like the numbers just for comparison if you have
them. There are a lot of variables with different configurations, but
they should be at least in the same ballpark (I hope).

Given the wide range of applications the N210 and it's predecessors
have been used for, I'd honestly be surprised if the phase noise was
very poor, which would limit it's effectiveness in coherent
applications.

Thanks again for any data you can find,

Rob
